Karen Adams is a licensed acupuncturist, spirtual advisor, and intuitive healer.
For more than 20 years, she has used her expertise in acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, and alternative treatment approaches to help men and women from all walks of life find peace and healing.
She focuses much of her practice on treating survivors of various forms of trauma, including combat, critical incident, moral injury, sexual assault, domestic violence and childhood trauma. She has extensive experience working with military veterans, first responders, and their families, as well as with individuals diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury.
But many of her clients face other challenges. She also works with individuals struggling with anxiety, chronic stress, depression, chronic pain and a variety of other issues that stand in the way of living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
In her practical, holistic and all-hands-on-deck approach to healing, Karen uses Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and acupressure, body and breath work, and story-telling to help her patients identify and ease symptoms and manifestations of traumatic experiences and other stressors — including sleeplessness, hyper-vigilance and anxiety. She is trained in Chinese medicine nutrition, the use of essential oils and acupuncture theory. She has many years as a spiritual searcher, herself. Through her work, Karen focuses on forming a trusting, safe partnership with her clients so that she can walk alongside them on their healing journey.
Karen’s goal, through nearly two decades of experience, has always been more than helping survivors feel better. She guides survivors toward joy, hope and a reconnection with their own resilience and the pure potential they were born with and have never lost.
